This reel has the 1.91:1 retrieve ratio (rounded up to the familiar 2:1), multiplier, and combined with with his peerless cam-driven two-shoe breaking system, is still hailed as the best braking system ever designed. e237	John H. Van Horn Automatic Fly Reel - Patented on April 11, 1905 and issued number 787317, this John H. Van Horn reel was unique in that it allowed the angler to swap spools to utilize different sized lines. The Syracuse inventor assigned the rights to the Oneida Fishing Reel Co., a corporation of New York, to produce the aluminum bodied reel with nickel plated foot, trigger and winding plate rim. The foot is marked "The Van Horn - Pat April 11, '05" on this good+ condition example, with good return spring, and several small cosmetic flaws, including scattered dings and rash areas. Still, a rare automatic trout reel that will serve as an example in a collection.	Sold

The reel is made from ebonite or hard rubber, nickel silver rims, S shaped counterbalanced handle and Tobin bronze bearings. e336	Rogue Model #200 Fly Reel -  This great old reel was designed and built by John Jackson Shaw of Grants Pass Oregon in 1956. Original price was $167.50. The lever is for braking and free spooling. There is an on and off lever for the drag and a numbered wheel for the drag tension. As far as I can tell, all of the reels functions are working order. Also has a quick spool release. The only identifying mark on the reel is the name "Rogue" on the side plate. The reel has a floating disc brake and was considered to be a combination big fish fly reel and trolling reel. Comes with an extra spool and in the original case marked 'Rogue'. Would be great fun to fish with or just have in your collection.	$195.00
